Everyone makes New Year’s resolutions and one of mine this year was to be better at providing information to my clients, potential clients, and the public, about current legal issues and cases. To help with that we undertook a complete website re-design through the holidays and launched it in early January 2020. I hope through my social media posts and this site you find information that current, helpful, at time humorous, but most importantly helps you stay informed and understand court cases and current issues within the legal field.
I was recently asked what I want to focus on in my practice in 2020. The unspoken premise of the question was what practice area did I want to focus on. But I do not want to specifically focus on one area – I want to focus on my clients. In a smaller county it is, at times, hard to focus on a single area, and many areas overlap. For instance, representing a criminal client may also involve family law and a pending or recently filed divorce or child custody. So, my focus is on my clients and representing their interests and protecting their rights – not just their parental rights or their constitutional rights – but ALL of their rights.
